What to Expect: Schedule & Flexibility

Because Dad’s flight schedule and Mom’s hospital rotations change month to month, we do ask for flexibility—and we match that with clear, early communication. You’ll get a monthly outlook as soon as our rosters post, a detailed weekly plan every Friday, and day-before reminders for anything unusual. We’ll always stay within program limits (no more than 10 hours/day and 45 hours/week), and we track hours together so it stays fair and predictable.

Typical Rhythm

  • Weekdays: ~6:00–8:30 AM for wake-up, breakfast, and school/daycare drop-off; ~5:00–8:30 PM for pickup, dinner, play/reading, bath, and bedtime.

  • Midday: Off-duty personal time. Please keep your phone on in case of illness, early dismissal, or a rare school closure; if we contact you, we’ll record that time in your weekly total.

  • Weekends: One or two pre-planned daytime blocks for activities or coverage; we aim to set these in the weekly plan.

Time-Off & Planning

  • We honor program time-off rules (at least 1.5 days off per week and one full weekend off each month).

  • Travel/holiday coverage is requested well in advance and mutually agreed.

  • If a last-minute change pops up, we’ll adjust elsewhere in the week so your total hours remain within the cap.

Questions? Ask Away

We’re genuinely excited to welcome an au pair into our family and make this a safe, supportive, and memorable year—full of cultural exchange, fun weekends, and plenty of time for your own adventures. If anything here sparks a question—schedule details, the room/bathroom setup, the car, neighborhood, travel perk eligibility, holidays, or day-to-day routines—please reach out. We’re happy to chat and share more so you can picture life with us.

Message us on WhatsApp at [+1-734-834-9687] and say hello. We can’t wait to meet you and hopefully welcome you to Enfield and the Wang family!
